What Happens When You Put 100 Women in a Room?

Once upon a time there was a woman who wasn’t getting what she wanted at events. So she created her own. Yep, that’s my WWGI story and here we are 2 years down the track  with 3000 members having run 10 events in Melbourne and Sydney.

Thursday 31st May saw the Melbourne CBD buzzing with the energy of 100 women. The women were attending the first WWGI Melbourne event for 2018, and fittingly, we were in the home of energy, Origin Energy HQ. It was a great way for me to not only celebrate WWGI turning 2, but to connect women with each other so they can learn and advance together.

And what a night it was! Very appropriate that we were in the home of Origin Energy given how much wonderful female energy was generated. As Michaela Green Group Manager Sales & Marketing Origin Energy, said, “there is a noise and a buzz that only a group of women can make!” That buzz, that noise, that energy makes my heart sing!

Great events don’t happen without great people helping. Thanks to Bonnie Power for her LinkedIn wisdom, Jax Moussa for the events pics (you are seeing a snapshot of them in this post) Ana Cook for the beautiful food and of course, my wing woman, Silvana Naumovski for helping me bring the night together.

The wonderful Mat Cook was busy taking new headshots for the WWGI who booked in and I know that the women attending are really going to appreciate their 25% discount off Mat’s services.

A massive thank you again to Michaela Green from Origin for sponsoring the event. What a great space and I am sure that Origin will soon be a company of choice for women with such visible support of women in business. Thanks also to Lindsay Nosworthy for her continuing advocacy and support of Advancing Women and Women Who Get It.

See you at the next WWGI event!
